Salzburg Cathedral – Town Salzburg

The Original Cathedral was constructed during the holy Virgil (745 – 784) in the year 774. After a fire in 1598, prince archbishop Markus Sittikus started to rebuild the Cathedral with plans from Santino Solari in 1614. In 1628 it was ordained by prince archbishop Paris Lodron. The selection in the dome museum has a large variety. During the pre-Christmas season the famous Salzburg Christmas market is located here.
