Hellbrunn – Castle, Fountain Garden & Zoo – Suburbs of Salzburg
1612 - 1615 built by Santino Solari under prince archbishop Markus Sittikus, the castle with its extensive park, fountain garden and the mechanical theatre is one of the most beautiful examples of “manieristischer” architecture north of the alps, unique in Europe. The Hellbrunn Zoo with its very spacious outdoor areas is internationally recognized.
