Residence – Town Salzburg
Medieval bishop seat, for centuries the place of princely/royal representation, was built in the 16th century by prince archbishop Wolf Dietrich of Raitenau. In the festive rooms of the Residence Salzburg even W.A. Mozart himself performed music regularly for the regent. Today this magnificent early baroque example ranks among some of the most historical valuable buildings within the old part of Salzburg. You can visit the residential rooms as well as the residential gallery with its great collection of European Painters from the 16th to the 19th century.

January to December daily from 10 am to 5 pm
Gallery: from October to March shut every Wednesday
