Salt Mine Hallein – Dürrnberg, approximately 50 km

The unique journey into the depths of the salt world begins with the handing out of the traditional mining suit. Completely in white you roll into the salt mine on a little train. On smoothly polished chutes you get from one floor to the next right into the heart of the mountain. There’ll always be a miner with you who’ll introduce this world without daylight to you in detail. With a raft you glide over the famous salt lake surrounded by a mystic cloud of sounds. Films and showplaces complement your guide’s explanations in an entertaining way. Come and see for yourself! Good footwear is necessary! Children from age 4 can already visit the salt mine! Tours at least every half an hour, duration of the entire trip (inclusive Keltendorf) 2.5 hours.
